Changes in Citizenship status requires a new Form I-9.
Its purpose is not to determine who is and who is not a citizen.
For purposes of the I-9 rules, a person is "hired" when he or she begins to work for you for wages or other compensation.
The Form I-9 must be completed within three business days of the date employment begins.

The University uses the online version of Form I-9 and e-Verify.
All rehires with a break in service must have an I-9 action. When an employee's employment authorization expires, an employer must re-verify that the employee is still authorized to work.
