Congratulations to Nicky Hilton and her fiancé, James Rothchild!
After being engaged for less than a year, the couple have finally set a wedding date.
When Hilton, 31, great-granddaughter of Conrad Hilton, the founder of Hilton Hotels, marries banking heir Rothschild, 30, the combined wealth of their families will be staggering — the Hilton fortune is estimated at 0 million (£585 million), while the Rothschilds are rumoured to have 0 trillion (£454 trillion) tied up in property, banks, wine, art and charities.
You’d put money on it being a garish affair but that’s not how the lovebirds roll.
The night before their "royal" wedding, Nicky and James, a banking heir, stepped out in style for their prewedding dinner.
Family and friends were in attendance for the event, including Paris, who posed for photos in an elegant black gown.
Nicky is much more reserved than her older sister, Paris.
James and Nicky got engaged in August 2014 during a trip to Lake Como, Italy, to celebrate their anniversary.
According to sources, James flew from his home in England to the states to ask Nicky's parents for her hand in marriage.
Nicky was first photographed leaving Claridge's Hotel on the arm of her father, Rick, before heading to Kensington Palace for her ceremony.
Her older sister, Paris, emerged in a light blue bridesmaid gown with the women's mom, Kathy.
“They’re a really sweet and unassuming couple,” says one society insider, who met them at a party. Love story Hilton and Rothschild met at Formula One heiress Petra Ecclestone’s marriage to James Stunt in 2011, a £5 million affair at 15th-century Castello Orsini-Odescalchi near Rome.
